Gratitude – 7/21/2012
Grateful to catch up with some friends and relatives at our biennial Family reunion. Lot's of fun playing softball with the kids and grilling out for dinner.

So very proud of the two Marketing Interns that I'm supervising this summer! They were concerned about providing critical feedback regarding our company's website. The three of us discussed the issues and how to present the feedback in a meaningful and productive way. In a difficult situation, they handled themselves extremely well in today's presentation to the Marketing and Communications group. Watched a movie tonight and found very little value in the experience.

Good meeting at work today with a couple of folks I'll be working with on my new special assignment. Really appreciating having Kitty to come home to. Not interested in getting a pet again but loving this temporary setup.
Norm, Ian, Kathleen, and I went to see the midnight show of The Dark Knight Rises. Loved the experience of the opening show and the movie did not disappoint.

Got some kudos at work today after presenting the second iteration of a dashboard model. I started this a couple of months ago and our new analytics team has taken it to the next level.
Productive night in the studio with Norm. We have a mostly solid arrangement coming together for Zirconium. Started the recording session watching The Dark Knight Rises trailers with Ian. We're getting very excited. Laurel also treated us to some yummy gluten-free rhubarb crisp.

Enjoyed a casual evening and made a great dinner on the grill - shrimp and golden beets. Watched J. Edgar. Good movie, not great.

Really good run with Norm this AM. Feel like I'm making a little bit of progress. Prepped and welcomed a visitor to the house this evening. I get to take care of a friend's cat for a week or so. "Kitty" will be staying with me for a few days.

Enjoyed a morning biking with friend and a hot and sweaty Art Fair on the Square. Finished off the day and evening considerably cooler. Watched Batman Begins and The Dark Knight with The Family to prep for this week's opening of The Dark Knight Rises. Laurel made some excellent lasagna for dinner between shows.

Had a good bike ride with Norm, we only had enough for one lap on Ag Hill. Spent some time in the studio working on a Molybdenum. Checked out a new (to me) band and venue, Harmonious Wail at Art in the Barn. Warm and a bit sticky, but fun none-the-less.

Grateful to catch up with good friends. We started with drinks at at Bluephie's and then had a delicious dinner at Taste of India.

Woke up with some vocal melody ideas that will hopefully work with Calcium. Fun lunch with co-workers. Met up with another friend after work at Old Sugar Distillery. My first time there. The Gringo was delicious!
