I was grateful to be cheering friends in the Madison Half Marathon (and Marathon) early this morning instead of running in it.
Got to use my logistical prowess to help get some folks around on the course for maximum cheering exposure. It was also fun to see so many friends out there running.
I am grateful to have gotten rid of my lawn tractor quickly with minimal hassle.
This was a decent craigslist transaction, though the guy worked me pretty hard on the price.
I am grateful for great times with great friends. Really enjoyed hanging out and catching up with folks tonight at the Brewer game. We had excellent seats in a suite as well.
I am grateful to have successfully facilitated my second “table top exercise” as part of my work with business continuity planning. This round exposed me to another C-level and to a department I have not yet worked with within the company. Great feedback from the clients about the experience.
I am grateful to be involved with another new customer-focused initiative at work and for being asked to help with supervising two new interns for the summer.
I am grateful to be able to show Gary the Sawyer some of the fruits of his labor and thank him for the great work he does.
Today was the third time I’d had Gary out to mill logs into rough-sawn lumber. Most of the first batch he did ended up as trim in the house (the FTP). After we finished milling for the afternoon, I walked him through the house to show him features that he’d milled seven years before. He loved it (and so did I).
I am grateful for the plethora of breakfast options between my new apartment and work for when I’m feeling too lazy to make my own.
I am grateful for Norm and Kathleen helping me slog through getting the rest of my stuff out of the house on a glorious day that should have been spent doing much more fun things.
I am grateful for enthusiastic 8-year old boys on their birthday and appreciative for the celebratory time with family and friends. Fantastic home-made pizza is pretty awesome too!
I am grateful for the persistence to work on packing my house instead of really enjoying myself on a beautiful Friday night.
