  • Mostly enjoyed the solitude and tried to be in the moment working on the FTP.
  • Halloween candy-laden Packer game with Norm, Laurel, and the GDFB’s.

Daily Positives – 10/30/2010

  • FTP: mantel assembled.
  • Got to see Joan and Maggie. Great to catch up a bit with Joan. I greatly appreciate how we can effectively communicate without having to say much. Still would love to talk more to her about the divorce. We have a special bond and I am extremely grateful.
  • Awesome fun bike ride with a friend. Great to get out and ride, she pushed the pace a bit so I got a good workout too on a beautiful Fall afternoon. Great conversation as well. Discussed lot’s of my ‘firsts’ that she was involved in, and based on a lot of that, how I feel like my best is still in front of me.
  • Light dinner at Thai place on Fair Oaks with friend. Excellent Tom Ka soup! More great conversation.
  • Norm, the GDFB’s, and I hung out with a friend that lost a loved one.

You have probably noticed a temporary suspension of my Daily Positives, both of my regular readers have too 😉 . I’m still writing them and keeping track of things I’m grateful for. It just feels like its time for a refresh of the way I’m presenting things, so holding off on publishing things for a little while.  I may have lost my focus a bit.  Please stay tuned.

  • Bed shopping
  • Work: mini project for Jeff doing some research, got him some results in context to provide more value.
  • Dinner and new job discussion with a friend.
  • Last minute invitation for drinks with friends. Really wanted to go, knew I had to get other stuff done and felt comfortable declining the offer. This kind of stuff is getting easier.

Daily Positives – 10/25/2010

  • Foggy early morning walk with Sitka.
  • Productive day at work. Next round of artifact submission is due Monday, getting things wrapped up.
  • Got some errands accomplished over lunch including looking at bed frames. I have a inexplicable fascination with wanting to get my own bed/frame.
  • Late evening walk with Sitka, got a chance to catch up with a neighbor I hadn’t spoken to in quite a while.
  • FTP: Latest round of casement and baseboard all wiped with a tack cloth and organized for staining.
  • Worked through divorce paperwork logistics with past primary partner.
  • Cooperatively worked with past primary partner to get garage quickly organized late at night to be able to get cars and trailer all in because of pending wind storm.

Daily Positives – 10/24/2010

  • Picked up another new tool (chop saw workstation) to help with the FTP and it helped immediately.
  • FTP: Banner day, easily the most productive in recent memory. Had lots of help, that all of them had solid woodworking skills was a bonus.
  • Outside of it being the FTP, I really enjoyed hanging out and getting things accomplished with several of my friends.
