Grateful to see the legendary Dick Dale at High Noon Saloon. Unsurprisingly, it was the biggest crowd I've ever seen there.

New opportunity at work. From my boss:  "When you do a good job, you get rewarded with more work.  :)"  A department I haven't ever worked with is going through some significant personnel transitions right now and need an interim project coordinator. The president of our company recommended me for the spot. Will be challenging but I'm glad to be recognized in a positive way.

Gratitude – 7/10/2012

Fun to walk around to things in the city instead of driving! Stopped at Catalyst to help a  pick up some  biking apparel; Gail is ever so pleasant to deal with. Then made our inaugural visit to One Barrel Brewing Company. 1BBC is a nanobrewery that just opened on the East side. Love this place! Good beer and great vibe.

Gratitude – 7/9/2012

Grateful for good health. My annual physical went very well today (outside of the routine, less pleasant aspects). Two of the three cholesterol indicators have improved since my last exam, my weight is lower, blood pressure is great and all my other numbers are stable or improved. Lot's to be thankful for. Relaxed this evening enjoying two espisodes of Spectacle.

Pleasant brunch with friend at Great Dane East this morning. Got a ridiculous amount of satisfaction hanging my laundry outside to dry on my clothesline this afternoon. Finished of the day installing a new hitch form my bike rack on the Corolla. Took in an contemplative sunset from  Ag Hill.

Grateful for great company and a productive day! Dan and Norm came over to help with house. Got the tub surround unit installed, pocket door framing installed, and some other miscellaneous framing knocked out. Capped off the day having drinks and dinner with friends at Bourbon St Grille and enjoyed a movie a little more than I expected to.

Relaxing day. Got an easy run in, iced coffee from Moka, breakfast at Jet Room, brandy slush at the Tiki Bar, movie and dinner with family and friends in Baraboo.

Gratitude – 7/3/2012

Enjoyed a really fun evening with a friend. Made a last minute plan change from Summerfest. The rooftop bistro was closed because of the heat, so we opted for sushi at Muramoto and a cupcake dessert at Gigi's. Finished the evening with Moonrise Kingdom at my favorite theater, Sundance. I'm a huge Wes Anderson fan and this film didn't disappoint.

Grateful to be available for good friends in need as they go through significant personal and relationship challenges. I understand how valuable that support can be. Significantly lower on the 'grateful' scale, I got an easy run in with Norm this morning.
